Blog Writing Software

10:12 AM Edit This 0 Comments »

Lifehack.org has posted a list of some of the software tools available for bloggers to write content.
There are other good apps out there, which didn’t make this list and I’m sure that those I’ve added below still don’t represent all that is available.
BlogJet is a blog client for Windows that allows you to manage your blogs without opening a browser.
Qumana features include easy text formatting and image insertion, simple Technorati tagging, and advertising insertion with Q Ads.
A freeware option with a long feature list.
Elicit, a desktop blog client that integrates Web and RSS services from Google (desktop search, news, blog search), Yahoo (news, blog search), Microsoft (news), Bloglines (RSS aggregator), Amazon (catalog search), Flicker (photo sharing), Technorati (blog tagging) , del.icio.us (social book marking), Furl (personal Web), Topix (news),Wikipedia, and Chitika (blog ads) in one desktop application for the purpose of creating content for blogs.
RocketPost 2 blog software is the first productivity app for blogging, designed for serious bloggers and business users. Unlike low-end clients, RocketPost is a complete, stand alone editor which puts you in control. It’s the only blog editor with WYSIWYG editing, full local editing and full blog import. And it works just like email, so you already know how to use it. Blog smarter by downloading RocketPost now.
Thingamablog is a cross-platform, stand alone blogging application that makes authoring and publishing your weblogs almost effortless. Unlike most blogging solutions, Thingamablog does NOT require a third-party blogging host, a cgi/php enabled web host, or a MySQL database. In fact, all you need to setup, and manage, a blog with Thingamablog is FTP, SFTP, or network access to a web server.

How to be a True Gamer ?? (Funny !!)

10:36 PM Edit This 0 Comments »

1. Rearrange your priorities as follows:
      #1 - Gaming
      #2 - Eating
      #3 - Sleeping
#4 - On second thought, scratch #3. You still need to get past the next level.

2. Explore the terrain (Get a map and study it). Learn from other players and guides available on the web or in magazines.

3. Practice in Single player (God like mode) as well as multiplayer to improve reflexes and explore maneuvers.

4. Learn the difference between a shock rifle and a sniper rifle. Or at least fake it.

5. Customize your keys button configuration for each game to maximize efficiency.

6. Forget about the difference between fantasy and reality. (Who needs reality anyways)

7. Take advantage of all the features of the game such as sound effects (foot steps, noises), visual effects (shadows, explosions), game features (radar, night vision). Taking in all of this information will help keep you a step ahead of the competition.

8. Pimp your new PC to the limit, then donate your old, slow PC to a friend and challenge them to a duel.

9. When someone starts talking smack on a message board, calmly post your system’s eye-popping specs and make them squirm in their chair.

10. Don’t rush right into every situation (play smart). Adjust to your opponent’s strategy and take advantage of his mistakes. If he gets into a room to camp and has not noticed you, don’t just go inside the room guns blazin’…throw in a grenade or two through a window if possible.
