AND how i really saved myself.

IF YOU LIKE MY POST AND IT HELPS YOU THEN PLEASE SHARE, LIKE, +1, AND COMMENT, IF YOU SHARE THIS IN YOUR BLOG / WEBSITE THEN PLEASE GIVE CREDITS TO ME AND OTHER AUTHORS. THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CONTENT PLEASE RESPECT IT.

Remember the earlier Facebook scam related to Marika Fruscio showing breasts on TV? Well, looks like the scam had made its comeback again. The new scan titled – “[VIDEO] Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!” which has the message – “Lol Checkout this video its a very embarrassing moment for her” is reportedly spreading like wildfire on the social networking giant.

[VIDEO] Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!

Facebook spam, “Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!”

The scam has the same thumbnail that was used for the Marika Fruscio Facebook scam. The scam message comes with link that directs you to a bogus web page. The web page displays a message stating that the “divx-plugin missing” and asks you to install the plugin in order to watch the video.

Not matter what, DO NOT install the plugin, or do not download anything from that site. When you click on the “Install Plugin” button, a malware will be downloaded and automatically installed on your computer. This malware is designed to gather all your personal and sensitive information, which then sends it to the scammer.

[VIDEO] Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!

Please be aware that this malware can be a huge threat to your system. If in case you have accidently installed the plugin, then I recommended you to scan your computer using you anti-virus software. I also suggest you to remove the scam from your news feed by clicking on the “X” mark on the top-right corner of the post. Alternatively you can report the scam to the Facebook Security team.

Please note that scams like this use multiple domain and different web pages. You may see variations in the landing pages, but they are all the same.

Here are the different versions of the scam that have been reported earlier –

As a precautionary measure, always check which applications you use and remove unwanted or suspicious ones. If you aren’t sure how to do it, you can always check our guide on removing apps from Facebook. In addition to that, don’t forget to check out our article about Avoiding Facebook Lifejacking and Clickjacking scams.

A new Facebook spam video

A new facebook virus is spreading under the title “98 Percent Of People Can’t Watch This Video For More Than 15 Seconds”. The Image shown is not a video but a thumbnail of the website. The play button at the bottom left gives it the appearance of facebook video icon. Visiting the site can harm your account as you give permission to third parties to access your account and post comments and send messages as you. A similar spam message had become viral last year under the title “99% of people can’t watch this video more than 25 seconds”. There was a spam message becoming viral with Osama bin Ladens dead pics.

new facebook virus 98 Percent Of People Cant Watch This Video For More Than 15 Seconds

How the facebook spam virus works

Clicking the link you will be redirected to a page which would look exactly like facebook page with facebook favicon but if you look into the address bar it will not be facebook.com URL. The embedded video player would look exactly like facebook video player. Here you will be asked for a quick security check. Facebook should never ask you for any security check for just watching a video.

After doing that, it will ask you to do a set of three steps
1. Select you address bar
2. Press J on your keyboard
3. Pres (CTRL +V) and press ENTER
Doing these three steps, you actually open your account to third parties. It will bypass all firewall protection of your system and your session may be hijacked. Then this video will be shared with your friends through wall posting or inbox messaging.

facebook video virus 98 percent people cant watch this

What to do if you receive spam messages

• Firstly, if you see such messages or shared wall posts don’t open the URL. Instead immediately click the “Report/Mark as spam” button by the side of the post.
• Even if you opened the webpage do not share it at all. You will be spamming your friends too if you do so. Instead tell them about such a
facebook spam message and wall post.
• If you have already clicked the share button, then you have to immediately log out from facebook and other websites you might be logged in. Then clear all browser cookies, cache and temporary files using CCleaner. The restart your system and change you facebook password.

Another New Facebook spam virus

Facebook is breing filled with more and more spam viruses everyday. A new virus has come up on facebook under the title “Girl killed herself after her dad posted a secret of her on here fb wall.!!!” This works almost similar to the Facebook spam, Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!

Girl killed herself after her dad posted a secret of her on here fb wall.!!!

What does the Girl killed herself virus do after you click

If you click on the link it will take you to another webpage where a video is embedded. When you click the play button it will either redirect to a survey page or ask you for permission to access facebook content. When doing this you are actually granting permission to a facebook app to access your facebook private content and post or comment as you. This means that you let the app to post on wall or send messages of similar virus links to your friends.

on clicking Girl killed herself after her dad posted facebook spam virus

What to do after you click

  • If you see such links do not click them. Instead open the drop-down on the right and click “Report story or spam”.
  • If you have clicked on the link, immediately change your passoword. Then logout from all the websites you are currenlty logged in. Change all the passowords and then use CCleaner to clear all your browser cache and temporary files.
  • If you have clicked on the play button, deactivate all the apps you have authorised by
Account>Privacy Settings>Edit settings (Apps and Websites). Here you can see the list of apps you authorised. If you find any spammy apps remove them.

What to do if you are affected ?

Go to your profile and click the x mark beside the spammy post to either remove the post or report as spam.

How not to get affected at all by all those Facebook Malwares and to secure yourself in the web?

11:50 AM Edit This 0 Comments »

The first important thing is to control yourself, most problems occurred for loosing the self control while online. For other things I first suggest using Firefox, why? Because no matter how much google brags about their browser, it has several flawed loopholes and exploits which in turn actually helps to spread these kinds of malwares. Don’t you are surprised that none of them are attacking google+ or Orkut ?? Strange isn’t it? Anyways without getting intro controversies I must say that protection you can get by following a 3 LAYER architecture.

  • 1. First Layer is Social Network / Website Security. in this case it is Facebook.
  • 2. Second Layer is Browser Security
  • 3. Third Layer is Computer Security.

But the problem is that often we forget to protect the middle one, which is I am trying to focus here.

The First Layer (Social / Web Layer)–

1. Hide all your personal albums. Share your photos with only selective group of members. Don’t make them public. Disable photo tagging.

2. Make your private album such as profile picture strictly private to yourself. Remember we are focusing on security here.

3. Don’t reveal too much of yourselves on internet, don’t reveal all of your information which however can be used to actually GUESS your account informations. Remember always that you cant trust online anyone, no one is your friend, so don’t share anything personal over the net, it may happen that your most trusted friend’s profile got compromised and that hacker knew all of your secrets to hack into YOUR profile.

4. Don’t ever show your login email id in your profile to public. Make it a strict private. Remember that a hacker needs two things, one your login email id and another is password, which in most case are easy to guess, because people tend to use passwords related to their life, and revealing to much of their lives in public would increase the risk to get guessed easily.

5. In your settings, enable login notifications both in email and text, activate your mobile number but strictly make it private.

6. Delete all unused apps, actually what happens is that once you permit any app to access your details, later that app can get compromised and by your permission that corrupted app can leak you’re a/c info. So don’t use any app, if you do then delete it after using it.

7. Don’t blindly click on any link, photos, videos AYTHING Even the clicking on the last portion of any long post’s “see more” can be manipulated to forward you to a phising site. For that use a linkchecker, like AVG linkscanner, bitdefender trafficlight, WOT etc …which can check the link.

8. Always keep a strong watch on when you login and how many times you login, and if you can then from which ip you are logging into. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT because you may get wrong login timing in facebook’s notifications, wrong locations also due to their different location of servers, but the IP address is always accurate.

9. Change your password often and securely, use a random password, use password maker for that.

10. Enable secure browsing so that your channel to Facebook can become encrypted so less eavesdropping can be occurred.

11. Don’t ever use any proxy services to logininto Facebook, it will make frequent lokups in Facebook and later Facebook will realize that you are a glob trotter and then they will loosen the security so that you can login smoothly.

12. Don’t use OPERA TURBO while logging onto Facebook, because opera turbo is also a proxy based service which compresses the website to save bandwidth, but in order to do so your info get bypassed by another server and if that server gets compromised your data can get leaked, also OPERA TURBO tends to save data for reuse it. DON’T DO IT EVER.

13. Always LOGOUT and clean your cookies. It will be good if you enable automatic cookie cleaning at the exit time of the browser. BUT before logout you MUST delete the device from Facebook > setting > devices. So that if somehow anyone got the session cookie he/she can never use that to login into Facebook again.

14. Use a password manager (ex: last pass) which uses encryption and never enter password with physical keyboard, if you need to, then use virtual on screen keyboard which is in windows, linux, mac os x.

15. Use MOBILE PIN feature of Facebook if you are using Facebook from mobile and using Facebook sms service.

16. Always keep your mobile phone locked so that no one can use your mobile to access Facebook. Don’t let anyone to access their profile from your phone, don’t access your profile from anywhere, if you do keep in mind to clear the cache, cookie, history, and password, remember again to LOGOUT PROPERLY.

These are very common steps, but these steps can ONLY make your profile safe from Facebook attacks. To actually not get infected physically (machine wise) you need the later two tiers of security

The Second Layer (Browser Layer) –

1. Always use a secure browser. For me I ONLY trust Firefox on any platform, IE9 is also great but it seems that it stopped supporting flash, another thing is that IE9 is fast secure but not reliable due to its past records and it can be easily manipulated. Apple Safari is great BUT ONLY in Macintosh, not in windows, OPERA is good but it seems that majority of websites are not supported in it. Again OPERA is not FAST ENOUGH unless you use OPERA TURBO, which is again FATAL for social networks specially Facebook (as I explained above). Lastly Google Chrome, well this is the most used (thus abused) browser, the problem is that you cant tune chrome for becoming perfect, its DNS PREFETCHING is the problem why these attacks are getting spread day by day. Again google’s sync is the problem where even if you delete any app from your pc it gets back in the next sync, or if you use chrome in another pc.

2. In firefox there are lots of addons which are trusted from decades and very much secured, I am not telling you to blindly trust them, just keep on updating them and firefox. These are –

  • No Script – The one add-on that many security experts do not want to live without. No Script can block script execution on websites. It does so on all websites by default with the option to enable specific scripts temporarily or permanently. The add-on can prevent script based attacks (most of them are) if used correctly.
  • Last Pass – The password manager for Firefox. It can generate and remember secure passwords, fill out forms and even auto login the user into websites. The three important security related features are secure password generation, password storing and auto login. Secure passwords have the weakness that they are hard to remember. It is simply easier to remember 123456 than f&z_cU!;re4xZ especially if you consider that unique passwords should be used one every website. With Last Pass users get unlimited secure passwords with the need to only remember the master password. The auto login feature can be very effective against phishing attacks as it won’t work on phishing websites that use a different url than the original.
  • No Redirect – A versatile add-on that handles several things at once. It will reveal the destination url of short url services and prevent that Internet providers and other companies use DNS hijacks to show their (search pages). This does happen for instance with many major ISPs if the user mistypes a domain extension.
  • Link Extend and Web of Trust – Link Extend and Web of Trust provide a similar functionality. They provide website ratings to inform the user about potentially dangerous websites. Both display ratings in major search engines but also in a toolbar for the active page.
  • CS Lite – Cookie permissions on a per-site basis. Allows the user to block or allow cookies permanently or temporarily.
  • Backup: Febe Firefox Backup. It is always a good idea to create regular backups to be prepared when data gets corrupted or deleted. Febe is a Firefox add-on that can backup all profile data of the web browser including bookmarks, settings, extensions and passwords.
  • Flash Block – This is the closest to the No Script Firefox add-on. Flash Block will only block Flash content but not other script related objects.
  • Adsweep, Adblock and Adblock+ – Two options to disable most advertisement that is displayed on websites. These add-ons are more about the annoying objects on websites and less about security. They can however be helpful in situations were rogue ads are displayed that spread malware.
  • Web of Trust or Trend Protect – Both display ratings for the active websites and websites that are listed in the major search engines (Google Search, Yahoo Search, MSN). They can be used as an indicator if a site’s potentially dangerous to visit.
  • Perspectives - Securely bypasses Firefox HTTPS security errors by verifying certificates using a collection of Network Notaries.
  • Bitdefender Quickscan – it is a online virus scanner inside Firefox so that you can scan while you surf.
  • Facebook Phishing Protector – saves from XSS and several Scripting attacks
  • HTTPS Finder & HTTPS Everywhere – enhances your web browsing experience while securing the channel using encryption and validation so that you can know that the website is validated and the channel is secure. This provides another way to see the info if the links.
  • Bitdefender Trafficlight – it is an addon to Firefox which enables user to surf securely, it checks the links visited, it is also intergraded into Facebook so it saves from unusual activities and hacking also.
  • WorldIP – it enables you to quickly check YOUR IP so that later you can verify that IP when you get login notifications from FACEBOOK.
  • Ecleaner – now many times we come across faulty apps, but even after uninstalling them from firefox some of their remains, this addon removes them all.

These are few useful addons which I personally tested, I am sure there are more. Just look at the subjects of security which are written in all above points, and you can use any other addon which YOU trust for that. Alternatively you can use private browsing modes to login into social networks or email account.

The Third Layer (Computer Security) –

1. This layer is pretty simple to understand as it needs nothing special which you don’t know.

2. Use a good antivirus. I use AVG FREE and its damn awesome, all settings turned to max, linkscanner active, infact this is the first application which prevented the malware from the Facebook SCAM to get loaded into my computer, archive scanner running always, memory and USB drives gets scanned all time, protection to the c drive and windows directory gets priority, its active security system is awesome.

3. Use a good firewall, I use windows 7’s default firewall which is very secure, but I use some tricks and tuned it to maximum, cant share these settings publicly for my security. Don’t get access right to all programs. Specially FAKE P2P softwares like kazaa, frostwire, etc .. However Torrents are secure. But clients like bitcomet is not. Use utorrent or bittorrent. They are the best. vuze’s java based plugins are not safe also it takes huge memory so don’t use that either. The problem is that the best client of torrents don’t work in windows which is transmission. Close all ports don’t open unnecessary ports, while using XP, please don’t increase the prescribed limit of HALF-OPEN ports. This will be fatal. This will help to spread the virus faster.

4. Make UAC in windows7 to MAX, this will help you not to get infected accidentally by any malware.

5. But for today’s environment where 0 days attacks are getting increased you should also use something more, that’s CLOUD PROTECTION, while I found IMMUNET FREE working superbly in windows x86 architecture, PANDA CLOUD FREE is working awesome in windows x64 architecture. Cloud / online protections are lightweight, don’t need any update, always ready to work, and you only need to be online to get the protection.

6. Use free garbage cleaner like IObit Advance Systemcare or better use CCleaner, this is a tiny free tool which provides all the functionalities. Use this to sweep all registry data, histories and most importantly cookies.

7. Use free proxy like TOR-VIDALIA bundle, systems to securely surf the web and email BUT DON’T USE IT FOR FACEBOOK; this will help to hide your security online. Never show your official private email ID in Facebook, Facebook has its email id, use that instead, but however if you need to show your private email in Facebook then you MUST use proxy to send mails as without protection anyone can see your IP in mail header.

8. If you are stuck with windows it is high time that you invest in ORIGINAL windows because with frequent updates windows, defender, IE, NETWORK DRIVERS, firewall & UAC rules will get updated, so that you can stay protected online.

9. always use an offline mail software to send and receive mails, what happens online IMAP access that the contents of mail gets loaded automatically then they are checked, so the changes of getting affected by steganographed viruses, so while using POP and SMTP the mail gets checked 2 times, one at the provider, second at your own computer, so you can be more secure. Also don’t download attachments from all mails that could have a virus.

10. Always encrypt the mails before sending, windows live mail writer can do that automatically BUT ONLY if you are using hotmail (windows live mail), but you can use PGP, TRUECRYPT also to encrypt the mails.

11. Enable bitlocker in windows 7 for c drive and windows so that no virus can harm. Also this will make sure that no malware can corrupt the firewall and antivirus.

I will try to update the lists all the time, please share your views and thoughts to make this list better and secure for all.

Thank You for your patience.

Something Which I asked to Myself Today ..

12:44 PM Edit This 0 Comments »

yesterday i was invited for the Young India Fellowship, a fully scholarship based 1 year integrated course, today i submitted their online form, but in order to do so i had to ask something from me, and here are the results of their questions -

What matters the most to you and why?

The thing which really matters to me is SUCCESS. For me it is not any materialistic achievement like to have a big car or big house, it is not any mental pleasure like having a loving wife or to have nice kinds, it is not again any degree like MBA, PhD, it does not means to me any position like VP, CEO, MD of any fortune 500 company, not the life situation of state where I don’t have to worry about money ever, SUCCESS to me is where I accomplish the task perfectly which I wanted to do, and have done it the same way I wanted to do, simple or complex, highest paid or lowest, and I also get to know something new. SUCCESS is not what you buy, it is to be EARNED. Facing Challenges makes me able to learn something new, no knowledge goes unfruitful and by applying those knowledge I do my work passionately. To leave a mark a person needs to be successful on their own terms not others. I believe in this. So it does not matter anything if you don’t get SUCCESS in life and SUCCESS does not have any names or degree.

What has been your biggest achievement so far and why do you consider it to be so

My biggest achievement so far is able to design and maintain a personal blog-website of myself, http://www.myfullydigitallife.co.cc with all free Technologies available. None of my friends even lolling around with their BCA syllabus where I gone far ahead by ACTUALLY creating something practical out of my knowledge. I have also made a Web Browser “WebTrotter”, a Compression Software “Kompression”, a Chat Server “HushTalk”, I played around many scripting, maybe they sound more technically geeky than making a small website, but still for me this is my biggest achievements compared to others of my same calibre. I have also faced many hard challenges while troubleshooting computer systems in my freelancing job where I used to repair computers for extra pocket money, they are hard because at my age I am solving the problems which other high paid engineers failed to do. I have done a s/w course from government organization at class 7 where the minimum requirement for this course is secondary examination pass. But why still making that website was so valuable for me? Because that made me MENTALLY SATISFIED, it brought me a taste of SUCCESS and also global recognition, which I wanted to have from the very beginning.

What do you hope to accomplish from the Young India Fellowship?

As I studied more about the program of Young India fellowship, I realized that this program can help me to shape myself as I do. As the biggest challenge with the Indian Private Education is the cost of the good education. But as of YIF, I can get a scholarship. The curriculum is very dynamic, no wonder it would be hectic but by the process I hope it will also teach us the very basics of management, management of everything, be it time or yourself. The essence of management will make me able to sharpen not only my skills but myself. By the knowledge gathered from this express course combined the skills of my graduation, I am sure that I can get SUCCESS in the way of my career goal, as I aspire to become a software professional and for that learning the basics of team game is a very prime objective as developing quality software is not a one man show. But this course will definitely broaden my outlook also and nevertheless I get to meet new people and can experience something new. It will be a chance of a lifetime when I will get an experience of lifetime.

Do share with us any other details that you think might add to your candidature for a Young India Fellowship.

As I belong to a very poor family, my father is retired, my father is not fully able to provide me with costly education, YES I know that government institutions can provide me low cost education but surely I don’t posses such level of calibre to get into one with my trend, also being a general caste boy I cant get any scholarship from anywhere, I tried many. We don’t have any such assets to keep mortgage and get a study loan. so I hope doing this 1 year course at YIF, can make me able too find me a good place where in place of spending family savings I can actually provide them something, my family sacrificed a lot for me and I think this might be the change of giving them a small piece of joy. But in the end I will not pledge to take pity on my financial condition because despite of everything my values never permit to ask for so. If you find me eligible, then give me a chance, this is all I want you to request.

Top 10 reverse image search engines

4:28 PM Edit This 0 Comments »

Reverse image search is different kind of search where one does not provide keywords and instead provides an image and the search engine searches for images of similar kind. This kind of search is not yet very famous as many are not even aware of this kind of search options available and also for the reason that many are not in requirement of this kind of a search. At times different engines use different algorithms and parameters while making the search.

Top 10 reverse image search engines are :

1)TinEye : Is a reverse image search engine that also has a addon for Firefox which is very helpful. It is considered best when you want to find exactly matching images which looks same like the base image but are available at different sources and in different resolutions. It can be a great tool to find stolen or un-attributed images on the internet.

2)Byo Image Search : It seems that this search is based on the color palette uniformity primarily but does include theme based algorithm. They use a search technology called Piximilar visual. It analyses hundreds of image attributes such as color, shape, texture, luminosity, complexity etc.

3)Gazpopa : A recently launched search tool which allows you to upload a base image already in your computer or even allows you to draw one. The similarity is compared on the bases of the bases images color and shape match which works amazingly great but at times it can get confusing.

4)RevIMG : Is a reverse visual search engine which works opposite to the older style of searching images from text. It finds images based on algorithms based on shape, dimensions, and colors.

5)Multi service image search : This simple reverse image search engine help you to select places which you want to include in your search. It also gives you can option where you can ask to ignore colors while making the comparisons. The supported file types by the search engines are JPEG,PNG and GIF with a max file size of  8192 KB .

6)IM2GPS: This is a different kind of reverse image search engine as it helps you to locate the location in the image. Say if you give image of building a base image it helps you to find the location of that structure by various algorithms like estimating the geographic information.

7)SnapTell : This is a great service for mobile. With this you just need to click a snap and your device tells you about what it is and where you can get it or buy.

8) Idee : Provides three different options to search your images with one being color based, then a combination mode or straight up image matching from an upload or a URL.

9)Google image : It helps you to find images with the option of finding similar images, all you need to do is to  click below the target image.

image

10)ImgSeek : Its based on wavelet transform, which is simply a sophisticated averaging method which produces quite meaningful results.

Desi Boyz–The Real Review by Ramen Mukherjee

5:14 PM Edit This 0 Comments »

Hey guys its me again, I just watches Desi Boyz, previously I was juts so much irritated to see the movie Ra.One which is a very bad mixture of nice and famous Hollywood movies such as Terminator and videoman. This turned itself into nothing but a story-less story.

And now this DB.. uff god when people of this damned industry will understand that there are people who SERIOUSLY WATCHES international movies.

Well first of all, this whole movie concept was copied and remixed from several famous movies. What it actually does that it STOLE the best part of those movies and stick together and made people fool.

The concept of the first part of the movie was STOLEN from the famous movie

“PAUL BLART: MALL COP (2009)” - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1114740/ , anyone who has the slightest knowledge of international movie can know the first scene was stolen from here.

The friendship concept of two friends is just INSPIRED remember I am not saying COPIED but very very much inspired from “THE DILEMMA (2011)” - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1578275/ , even many scenes are same to same.

The scenes of the offices and specially where John is beating his boss sorry ex-boss is just copied from “HORRIBLE BOSSES (2011)” - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1499658/ , it’s the not to miss the point. I don’t know how the Indian fool AAM AADMI just believed that this whole DB’s brilliant idea came from out of blue?

Now when we move on to the next part we can see that the whole part of joining male escorting due to recession and John Abraham’s out of budget cost for their (John + Deepika) future dream honeymoon but staying as GOOD BOY, hiding the whole idea of DESI BOYZ from deepika is FULLY COPIED from the movie “BALLS TO THE WALL (2011)” - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1626135/ , same sequences, same frame and same videography makes it evident that how much the Bollywood is inspired. Almost 60% of the movie is based on this movie’s concept.even the father-in-law helping son-in-law to impress his daughter is also same.

The college campus ,environment and the rooms and roommates are also seems very very familiar. why ? because its already have been seen in AMERICAN PIE SERIES.

In the last part of the movie where Chitrangada giving Akshay Economics lesson by stripping her clothes off is copied from??? Any guesses?? Yes you are right “BILLY MADISON (1995)” - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112508/ , this movie is an epic and our very own copycats just copied the concept from here too.

Now tell me guys does this movie deserves any point at all ??

I give 0.5/10 for some few ORIGINAL scenes and the macho name ROCO J :P

My Confusion with My Future and Carrer ...

10:40 AM Edit This 0 Comments »
yes i am really very very much confused.
I AM VERY VERY CONFUSED ,

I DON'T KNOW WHICH WHERE TO GO. ONLY 6 MONTHS ARE LEFT FOR THE COMPLETION OF GRADUATION DEGREE,,,

NO MONEY FOR STUDYING MCA, IF I STUDY THEN IT WILL BE JUST AN ACT OF spending MY WHOLE FAMILY'S WEALTH.

NO WAY TO GET ANY LOANS. NO ONE TO HELP. NO SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR GENERAL CASTE MALE higher-mediocre type CANDIDATES.

I AM CONFUSED ABOUT SOME MATTERS AND THE REASON BEHIND THIS IS THAT MY FAMILY NEEDS AN EARNING MEMBER ... A.S.A.P

SO I HAVE FEW WAYS -

1 > TRYING TO CHASE THE GOLDEN GOOSE "IT JOB", KEEP TRYING FOR IT, KEEP ON WASTING MY TIME WITH ONLY BCA DEGREE, AND GET ANY JOB WHAT I AM GETTING FIRST HAND AND JOIN ANY DISTANT EDUCATION FOR MCA / MBA ..BUT THE PROBLEM IS FROM WHERE?? MANIPAL ? PTU? IGNOU? JNU? NSOP ? ...WHERE??

2> GET ENTRY INTO RICE AND PREPARE & PURSUE FOR GOVT JOBS, WITHOUT KNOWING WHEN I WILL GET ANY ACTUALLY, AND EVEN I GET ONE THEN COMPLETELY DESTROY MY HARD EARNED TECHNICAL SKILLS?

3> DO THE BPO CALL CENTER JOB WHICH I HAVE GOT IN PECON, AND PUT A FULL STOP IN MY FURTHER CAREER.. BOTH IN GOVT OR PRIVATE OR IT SECTOR?

4> ENTER INTO ANY SMALL COMPANY FOR 1500 RS SALARY [THIS IS NORM IN EVERY PRIVATE SMALL COMPANIES] ,WORK very very hard AND PUT FULL STOP IN MY FUTURE ?
as for the MCA degree ..i again have few confusions.
1> get a distant MCA degree because i dnt have money to do a full time MCA degree from WBUT, and keep trying on to get into IT industry to WORK AS A DEVELOPER / TESTER ?

2> get a job in state / central govt by taking RIGOROUS training after my BCA and destroy my IT career and all my gained knowledge and education ?
3> if MCA then from where??
4> if FULL TIME course then from where?

5> if part time then from where?
very very confused about everything.
How is the degree of MCA from Manipal distant education ?
How much this degree is appreciated ?
What is the near equivalent distant degree of Full Time MCA from WBUT? from which university?
i need to know guys. i need info and i need it fast..
i need answers and fast .... :( but dont where to get any.

Is everything around us really meaningless ?

Friends,

i hope you are all fine.atlast i found some times to write something from my life again in here. pardon me if i am irreguler. but i am not sure about the acceptance of my writing, no one comments, no one responces on any social network bt u know what, ignorance is a bliss. and i can write my heart off here :) ha ha ha

right now i m having my breakfast, all these days i could find time because i was preparing my Minor project and documentation in a very fine manner.once i commit to something, i fulfill it. none of my teammates helped me with the programming, i have done it alone. but i never got appriciated and when i started arguing for that they started to complimenting me like a duty and a robot. they just started to complimenting me on anything i am doing. but really its very hard to keep on doing work, specially for others without any appreciation.

anyways the final exam for this project gone totally abysmal, all my hard work and effort gone to vein as the panelist stated that our project is underknowledged, very simple, underdeveloped, extra-worked on documentation unnecessarily. we don't have enough knowledge to make this up on our own and they are very doubtful about it, while i made the whole project myself without any guidance from any one, so this really hurt me, maybe it was a simple project, maybe it was made by me, maybe the wrong topic has been thrown to us, but i dared to take the challenge and made that nonsense into something. but making any project in this stipulated time is not easy specially without help and so that being unappreciated it became a bad experience. anyways will try to do better next time. but probably it is one of those rare moments where i have to hear that i have no knowledge ... !!

for the documentation i have worked very hard to achieve all international standards to make the best documentation possible. even i followed the guidelines of kalyani university, Notre dam university and other renowned university's documentation format. but i was in no position to argue, they are teachers, they are each superior than all of us combined. so will try to follow their suggestions from the next time. lets see what will happen then.

okk.breakfast is done. i am having my fifth semester exams right now. it will end on 14th December. and after that my days of fire will start. MCA preparation ,college, major project, campassing, interviews, govt job exams, gym and most important life... my lonely life.

good bye :)

Know the purpose of your resume

9:03 AM Edit This 0 Comments »
    • The first thing that you need to understand is that a resume is not going to fetch you a job. It is the first step to get an interview call which will in turn land you in a job.

    • Back up your strengths

While most of us like to flaunt off our strengths, a resume is just not the right place do to so. Any company or recruiter will get a better idea of your strengths when you relate it with your work/college experience, lest it might appear too vague.

    • Usage of language

Like it or not, employers can judge your resume in no time. Using the apt language is the key to get interview calls. Simple English is appreciated over long, complex sentences. Avoid jargon, keep the titles short and crisp, be descriptive and stick to ...

    • Order of details

Ensure your education details follow ascending or descending order. Your prior work experience can help the recruiter gauge your skills and abilities. So put them first. While adding your other achievements, add the most recent ones on top.

    • Typography

Big fonts make the recruiter’s job easier. However, 11 or 12 is the smallest you can go. Do not use capitals all over your resume. Remember your goal is to communicate the message as crisply as possible. Stick to one font style.

    • Keep negativity at bay

Spare your resume from any kind of negative information. Things that you hated about previous employer, personal opinions etc can create a negative impression about you.

    • Irrelevant information

Don’t include irrelevant information like your religion, age or political affiliation. Just skip these! It might interrupt your chances of landing in an interview.

    • Sell your fish

Remember you have to market yourself through your resume. However, never overdo it, as you might end up blowing your own trumpet. As long as you avoid this, your marketing efforts are sure to fetch you a job.

    • Length of your resume

No matter how long you have worked, never let your resume run for more than one or two pages at the maximum. Bear in mind that no one will have the patience to flip them. Keep it short and to the point.

    • Read and re-read

Once you are done, proof read your resume. Check for spelling errors, facts and other important factors. You could also take help from a friend, family or someone who has more experience than yourself.

The Man, The Book, and The Lonely Fellow..

8:45 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
Hello world. How you doing? I guess you are all fine there, Enjoying your greatest moments, doing genius works. Me?? As usual I am stuck here, in my room, doing absolutely nothing and thinking a lot. Facebook has become a very boring place to me. Thankfully I have no immediate threat to me but I can see the big picture here and that was my future, its still dark. One by one all of my friends are getting placed to some places and here I am standing here getting nothing. Well I do know that god has plans for me. I too meant for something. And I am just waiting for my time.

I got a book of “Chanakya Neeti” and it changed my view, though it is orthodox and it is very old but the things written there seems right to me. World hast changed only us, the human changed but still the basic thinking of the humans haven’t. Things are taking shape in front of me.

I know I am not regular at my blog now. But believe me guys its you who prevented me to come because you didn’t shown any appreciation towards my writing and I found no interesting serious visitors in my blog. You know what everyone likes to get appreciated and I am not an exception to it.

My project is just hanging in the middle air, no support till now and everyone has forgotten about it. Some are doing the work just to show people that they are working while in reality they have contributed nothing till now. Ya, it’s disheartening. But I have to deal with it. Because I know someday I too will have my bright morning.

Some people lack the proper virtues to be a human, they look like human but they are nothing less than animals. They don’t have humanity; they are brutal in their own way. Some people just use others to get what they want and I know someone like this, skimming me like this right now. O I forgot I cant take names here isn’t it? Ha ha ha but did I feared anyone? No. then why now? Because the time is not right and when the time will come I will reveal till now let it be a secret …

I am gathering experiences, I had many. I learned many things. More about myself than anything. Who am I? I am me. And I am unique. There is 0.01% difference between each individual human and I guess that makes me unique.

I see people hanging around with friends, I just saw some now in my way to take a Tiffin for this evening and I saw many. I am glad to see them. At least after many days I saw some human faces. I don’t get out of my house much. Sometimes I see my city, changed, after sometimes of my self house arrest. I wonder how this can happen?

Don’t take me otherwise guys but seriously I feel alone, left ,forgotten, you know what despite of having two phones now one with dual sim service I sometimes forgot what’s my ringtone on either of the sets, no one calls me, I guess I have no one. Friends forget me and then remember only when they needed me. I hope this is the karma from my past life I am suffering on because I didn’t done anything bad in my consciousness.

World moves on but hell, how can I? Why I am like this? Like a energetic soul trapped in a dead body? I want to fly. Give me wings o’ dear lord. Why u doesn’t let me be??

Sayonara..

Google Chrome v15 Very Unsafe for Social Surfers ...

12:38 PM Edit This 0 Comments »

Recently my Facebook profile has been hacked by some new method. its more like cracking than hacking because in anyway Facebook provides no way to get into an account without changing password of it first. But my account got hacked two times without the password is changed and i regularly change my all related account's password. Another thing is that the cracker is using Facebook mobile or WAP version of Facebook to access my account, and here comes the most interesting part that I am NOT GETTING any notification either in mail or text from Facebook for it!! . Though I changed the password at the first occurrence of cracking, that was nothing but a status update posted by that cracker in my profile from a mobile device which showing me as the author of that post, but that was fruitless as within few hours second post was posted by the cracker showing its power. While I appreciate white hat hacking, but I don’t support blackhat or cracking....

Then i was thinking that where i had done mistakes. All Facebook security has been up to top notch. No apps are running in Facebook. I don’t entertain spam, I don’t click on links, and all notifications are on. Password is safe in my brain. All other related account's password are too saved in my brain and lastly I don’t share my a/c password with any person even my gf !! So there is no change of hacking this supercomputer :P ...

So, lastly i concluded that it’s not Facebook's problem then. i searched the net for information and found that no recent flaws have been found in Facebook’s mechanism. then I concluded that maybe there is any rootkit or keylogger in my system, but if that so all my accounts everywhere are suppose to be hacked one after one, but thanks to the god that didn’t happened, i also searched for malwares that were stealing my cookies, I checked the certificates verification and the webpage of Facebook matches with it so i am not using any phishing sites, again i use a HTTPS connection so there should not be any man-in-the-middle attack problems, lastly I scanned everything and found nothing and also all my ports are closed and kept in strong security ,I am using a very secure machine with a very secure and updated original 64bit OS.

no answers were found lastly i started to think on other way that i am using 1 laptop and 1 desktop and it cant be possible to have SAME flaws in both the devices. Then what is common between Facebook, My Two computers and ME?? The answer came instantly ,it is the browser I am using, The Google Chrome. the tzar of browsers.

Searched in Google (!) and found that there have serious flaws in Google’s ultimate browsers and it’s staying from long but recently discovered but Microsoft. Microsoft actually blocked the chrome in computers which were using MS Security Essentials, Microsoft's Own Antivirus solution, because MSSE started to consider CHROME as a malwares and threat to security. Though Google suppresses the issues in their web search so that no one can get aware of it and silently started to patch up but the flaw was old and it will take time to disappear. Later both Google told the public that it’s a false alarm but I witnessed the truth.

And also the biggest threat to the chrome itself is it's app store. as it is open in nature and most apps are open to develop ,release and run , so it lacks in security .i mean how can anyone keep up the security if there is thousands of apps gets posted on each 10 hours ?? The open nature of app store attracts a new breed of social crackers who are inserting xml, JavaScript, php, sql codes in these apps for social networks. These apps are highly dangerous in nature. Recently I installed 4 apps for better facebooking as they were advertised in app store of Google, which are better facebook, facebook chat disabler ..Etc

on the first attack I disabled all plugins ,but after second attack and from the result of my research I learned that the disabling then wont matter and neither uninstalling because that thing just keep on in memory and in your Google account so when u will sync your Google account in chrome those app will come back again. THIS IS A VERY HIGH TIME TO THINK THAT IS THE GOOGLE SYNC & OPEN SOURCED TECHNOLOGIES ARE BOON OR BANE.

Another thing is that the internal archives are very much restricted to all antivirus and firewall monitoring. bookmarks histories and cookies are also you can delete then in CCleaner but they keep on coming as account gets synced every time you come online. the password manager is useless and its very easy to beat because all the passwords are exposed so if anyone gets a hold on your chrome then they can steal your passwords and cookies. There is also no option for master's password in chrome as Firefox.

New chrome's JavaScript engine is very very fast and efficient but lacks security. and Facebook is very much dependent on javascripts its that chrome is all opened for hacking. Also being a home product google inserts code in chrome to monitor user activities to make their advertises efficient on web pages. This is another serious issue.

New CHROME v15 has a feature which runs apps in background even you shutdown the CHROME itself while its good for widgets but its worst in the case where some cookie tracing or keylogger app running in background. Even you succeed to delete the thing of your memory not only it will keep on running in Google’s SAFE SANDBOX it will come back on the next time you connect to net via Google sync.

So as for the first aid measure I uninstalled the google chrome. Deleted all data and registry references. Deleted my data from google sync. Changed all my related account’s passwords and obviously facebook’s also and changed my browser platform. I chose security over speed. And another thing with chrome is that it keeps on growing in HDD and memory. An installation of chrome acquires whooping 265MB+ of data in HDD and it eats up to 375000KB of memory on a single go with 1 tab opened on Facebook. So the browser maybe giving fast results but its actually eating up the memory. I changed my browser and I am happy now .YES I have to compromise on features, speed and other problems but whatever I am using has the safest mechanism to protect privacy.

Some tips which I follow for safety online-
1)     Use a link filter like AVG.
2)     Usage of download manager with scan on download facility.
3)     Avoid unsafe websites and download destinations.
4)     Always use HTTPS connection when possible
5)     Get a secure browser NOT chrome no matter what they say.
6)     Clean footprints regularly (history, bookmarks, cookies, passwords , temporary folders … etc)
7)     Don’t let anyone use your computer when you are not around.
8)     Don’t share files online and if sharing only share from trusted friends and scan the files before downloading.
9)     Don’t response to every mail and don’t allow any mail to show images because strong steganographic can be hidden on them.
10) Don’t use P2P. anyway all P2P networks are dead including gnutella 1, gnutella 2, e2dk, fasttrack, ares …etc so they are not useful except sending and receiving fake files with malwares.
11) DC++ and Torrents are good to use.
12) Always log out from websites you logged in. never leave then open.
13) Change passwords regularly and securely using a random password generator. I made myself one and it is heavily secure.
14) Use onscreen secure scrambled keyboard when entering vital data.
15) Don’t install unknown apps in browsers, it seems to be the latest trend but keep you temptation in control and never ever use any 3rd party addon for any social networking or online accounts like yahoo, google etc. as I already told you they are not SECURE enough. And the danger was with OPEN SOURCED apps.
16) Don’t download Youtube videos sometimes the flv is encoded with Ajax codes. While they just can run for the browser level security all time they can run freely once you have downloaded them.
17) Encrypt Files and mails and send them via online.
18) Try avoid logging in from café and also absolutely avoid open cyber café’s because you could become a victim of sidejacking.
19) Never write down your password in your notebook or in wallet. That’s a very bad habit. Try to memorize and if you cant then save that in your phone memory and lock the phone always with a password.
