The Kaspersky “Licence Missing” Error

4:04 PM Edit This 5 Comments »

The Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 is having a problem from more than a week and it’s probably due to some bug in their update. The problem is that after that update the main window of KIS 13 is showing “Missing : Licence” error, even when the licence is there, inserted and activated, it is also showing valid dates and times but then again it is showing the error.

I didn’t found any problem in terms of protection. The software is working good and effortlessly. But then again it’s also a security risk for all of us, because malicious software may enter using this vulnerability. That’s why I contacted them, the response team is very good and efficient and they reverted back to me by a method which is “SUPPOSED” to rectify the problem.

Here it is –

As per your issue regarding Kaspersky “License: Missing.” Please follow the below steps:
1. Open the main Kaspersky application window.
2. In the right upper corner click Settings
3. In the Settings window go to the Advanced Settings tab and select Self-Defense.
4. In the right part of the window under Self-Defense
5. Disable the program self-defense uncheck Enable Self-Defense
6. In the right lower corner click the Apply and OK button
7. Close the main Kaspersky application window.
8. Right-click the K icon on the bottom right hand corner of the desktop (in the Taskbar notification area).
9. Select Exit.
10. Download the archive:
http://myftp.sakri.in/Fix_License_Missing.zip
11. Extract the file from the archive Fix_License_Missing.zip
12. Run the file from the archive: Fix_License_Missing.reg
13. In the Registry Editor window, click Yes and click OK
14. Make sure that the information from the key has been successfully added to the registry.
15. Restart the computer.
16. Open the main Kaspersky application window.
17. In the right upper corner click Settings
18. In the Settings window go to the Advanced Settings tab and select Self-Defense.
19. In the right part of the window under Self-Defense
20 Enable the program self-defense check Enable Self-Defense
21. In the right lower corner click the Apply and OK button
22. Kaspersky Anti-Virus / Internet Security License option enabled.

BUT

I found it’s unfruitful for me so what I did after this is simply deleting the key from the licence window and entering key again and re activating the product on the single go and the product is still working. Don’t know how long it will work or it will start to show old error once again I restart the laptop, I seriously don’t know.

But as I didn’t found any proper guidance over the net, I decided to make one instead. if it helps you then please comment.

Thank You
