there is a catastrophic error in my laptop.it is running on win7 ultimate ORIGINAL given by compaq.till yesterday night it is running good.saw a movie on it browsed net.bt when i started it at 2:00am to start my daily downloads it took 15 minutes to start and after starting there is a error showing that "Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service. Please consult your system administrator." but I M THE ADMINISTRATOR !

i left the thing at that time as i was extremely tired & sleepy sleepy and from today morning i started working on this problem.there is no network system in laptop.it is somehow disabled.no other software is affected till except when i start utorrent it says WINSOCK error.

from that point did everything from registry change to system restore.including registry check to virus check.but notable thing is that everytime i restore system it says that the syatem restore service did not completed successfully.even i chose an old date with my AV off.i seriously left no stone unturned..

what i saw is that in the services DHCP client, System Event Notification Service & TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper services are in the "STARTING" state where in normal condition they should be in "STARTED" State.

now i searched for it in net.found some bad news that this problem might be triggered by antivirus or the windows update itself.i m using KIS2011.in KIS forum there is no such problems but i found smiler threads in SYMANTEC [NORTON] forum.followed some steps provided there and other web sites.the websites ,HP help , WINDOWS help clearly says that this is a newest type of error in win7 machines and win VISTA machines.and till date there is no working solution for this except formattin.in my case also NOTHING WORKED...

now i dont want to format.actually i cant format as there are many data & files in mty laptop and cant backup them all.cant send my laptop into service center as they will surely format the system.also i m extremely dependent on my pc and i m having my university exams so i cant format it now and put it into complete working sate with all the service software settings installed and tweaked to my perfection.

now i don't know what to do next except some bizzare tricks i found online which is confirmed to work with others around the world with same problem .......

any advice???

update : 

everything under has been performed in administrator mode and with security programs off.

1>system restore didnt worked out.i chose 3 different points of long past and yet the problem persists..

2>netsh winsock reset didnt work.

3>sfc /scannow didnt work.

4>battery removing and reinserting trick didnt work.

5>uninstallation  of av didnt work.

6>manual stopping and starting of those 3 services wont work.

7>drive scan & repair didnt work.

8>windows restore didnt work.

9>doing all above things in windows safemode [with networking] also didnt work...
